NSA Center of Excellence in Information Education, has received an NSF Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service (SFS) grant that provides financial aid to students wishing to pursue advanced studies in the field of information assurance and security. The scholarship program was created in response to a presidential directive addressing security challenges facing the nation. Currently there are about a dozen of universities in the country, and Polytechnic Institute of NYU is the only university in the Tri-State Area, through which these scholarships are awarded.

The scholarship will cover full tuition and any other academic fees. In addition it will also provide stipend of $8000 an academic year to undergraduates and $12000 for graduates. A $1500 dollar per year book money will be supplied. In return scholarship recipients are required to work for the federal government in a information security related job upon completion of their degree program. |
