NSA Center of Excellence in Information Education, has received an NSF Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service (SFS) grant that provides financial aid to students wishing to pursue advanced studies in the field of information assurance and security. The scholarship program was created in response to a presidential directive addressing security challenges facing the nation. Currently there are about a dozen of universities in the country, and Polytechnic Institute of NYU is the only university in the Tri-State Area, through which these scholarships are awarded.
Scholarship Benefits: |
- Full tuition and all academic fees that apply.
- A stipend of $8,000 per academic year (over nine months) for undergraduates and $12,000 for graduates.
- Three-month paid summer internship at a federal, state, or city agency at the end of the student's first year, of a two year program.
- Upon graduation, placement at a federal, state, or city agency in a cyber security-related field.
