Chicago is my home town (which has much better pizza than NYC). I am the Assistant Director of the Cyber
Security Lab at NYU-Poly (ISIS). I was previously an Assistant Professor at the
US Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), where I
taught Information Technology and Information Assurance, as well as managed the Academy's participation in the NSA/CSS Cyber Defense Exercise (CDX).
I miss being out on the water with the USMMA sailing team (something I didn't
get a chance to do enough).
My current areas of research is virtualization, hardware security and the union of both topics.
