Kulesh Shanmugasundaram
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science, Polytechnic University. I am advised by professor Nasir Memon. My research interests lie in two main areas: digital forensics and security.
My research in forensics focuses on the development of reliable network infrastructure for supporting forensics across networks. I am currently leading Project ForNet, which aims to build and deploy a scalable, forensically sound network logging mechanism and associated analysis tools for supporting network forensics. You can read more about it here. In the security area, I am currently investigating the detection of resource abuses in networks. A prototype, Nabs, that aids in abuse detection by monitoring network flows is currently in beta. I plan to improve its accuracy and usability in near future; Then integrate its functionality into ID Systems and enhance their purpose beyond intrusion detection. Contact Information:
