Nabs is a network monitoring platform. Nabs currently
collects, visualizes, and archives flow records from its sensors for
the monitoring and enforcement of use policies. The sensors use statistical
properties of packet payloads to robustly identify content carried by
network flows. The sensors do not depend on well-known port bindings or
application specific headers to determine the type of content. This allows
a network administrator to author and enforce a use policy based on
bandwidth
and type of content in transit. The sensors have
been tested on OC3 lines and work is ongoing to scale them to higher
speeds.
We are currently giving away beta version of Nabs to academic institutions that can
deploy Nabs in their networks for routine monitoring and give us feedback/suggestions/feature requests etc.
If you would like to get a copy of Nabs please fill in the following form and we will email you download and installation instructions.
