Presentation and Discussion: The Psychology of Deception

Sherard Bailey will give a talk in the psychology
of deception and a group discussion will follow.

Topics to be addressed are:
<ul>
<li>What is deception?  
<li>Properties/Classification/Examples                      
<li>Defining a psychology of deception 
<li>define the strong/weak "sense" of psychology and how the psychology of      
deception fits into this                                                      
<li>review of published articles by 
<ul>
<li> Jastrow (illusory inferences on knowledge based on sensory info), 
<li> Dessoir (invited inference, psychological kernel), 
<li> Binet and Triplett (sociobiology, deception/natural selection) that form a broad collection of ideas on the topic
</ul>
