 | Hardware IDS | | We propose a hardware-based intrusion detection system. Hardware-based
intrusion sensing/detection modules will be attached to a host to
detect intrusions at the level of individual applications running
on a host. Furthermore, operations in these hardware-based intrusion
sensing/detection modules will be independent of the host. Hence,
an intrusion detection system built from these hardware-based modules
will be transparent while being immune to attacks that threaten
software-based systems.
